I like the professionalism of my Doctor. I like the Yoga classes ogranized at Kaiser. Once when I had my exam appt.- there was no extra chair in a hall when I waited to be admitted to the exam room. I had to stand while waiting.

convenient location. good PCP.

Able to get an appointment quickly a time that was convenient for me. Didn't have to wait days or weeks. Kaiser has a definite focus on customer service, and it shows. Prescriptions are mailed to you; you can email your doctor, tests and prescriptions are done in one location. etc. Sometime the intake by the people who take your blood pressure etc before you see the doctor, are impersonal.

Tests which were medically absolutely necessary were done promptly. Kaiser Permanente needs more qualified and more experienced doctors in every field. Particularly the Orthopetics Department , so that new surgical methods can be given to patients. I also think Kaiser doctors see to many patients.

I received a call from the discharge nurse the day after I left surgery. She inquired about my status, reviewed my meds and asked for an assesment of the care I received while in prep and post recovery. The cost of medication has increased significately for certain meds under the required Sr. Advantage plan.

The doctors, nurses and support personnel were very professional and caring. Being able to order prescriptions by mail is a very good benefit, as is posing medical questions to your doctor via the internet.

I like Its availability. Kaiser has been a very good service provider, so long as you are aware of your situation and are your own advocate.

easy access, good follow up. good access, v. good for prevention, particularly with my daughters asthma. it is challenging getting the pharmaceuticals i need b/c they are off the KP formulary.

I like having one physician for all my needs. state of the art equipment, facilities and services.

Received up to date and professional information. Why wont i be able to use kaiser when i retire and move to Oregon. The City plan is more expensive and i would prefer Kaiser.

Easy to make appointments. Prescription co-payments are too high. With Kaiser, you have to go to their pharamcy, which can sometimes be inconvenient.

I finally found a great primary care doctor, which makes all the difference in the Kaiser system. My primary care doctor uses email. It's great. I get prompt, complete anwers, including test results, appointments and prescriptions, in emails. The barriers to talking to an advice nurse on the phone are ridiculous. You explain what's going on, and the person on the other end of the phone says, "Actually, I'm not the advice nurse. Let me transfer you."

Excellent doctors who care about their patients, a wellness approach to patients, family coverage (inc. to age 25 for young adults), great Kaiser facilities in SF (which are accessible by transit), few forms for patients to fill out for appointments or for reimbursement. My Kaiser MD encourages frequent exercise, inc. bicycling, weight lifing, and walking. More direct Kaiser phone numbers should be listed in the SF phone directory.

Doctor was thorough and answered all of my questions. Doctor and Anesthesiologist provided useful information before and after surgery. Received follow-up reminders on time.

My Doctor has been my doctor over ten years. I do not like the long wait to pickup your medicine at the pharmacy. Mailing does not work for me,because i must have insulin.

I've been a member since 1988 and 2 of my children were born there and I can tell you that my family has received the most excellence of care at Kaiser, Vallejo CA.

I like the location in sf compus. I wish they would call to remind it memebers for annuel check up, just like my dentist's office do.

January 2, 2008

I can normally see a Kaiser doctor within 24 hours when needs arise. Once in a while, we may have to insist that we need treatment because doctors may think there are not life threatening. I have been with Kaiser for the last 22 years, they are pretty good in general.

January 2, 2008

I like the attention I received from my health care provider regarding my condition. a long wait in the pharmacy.

Good routine care. Can't comment about major illness or hospitalization since I haven't had to use those services.

My doctor helps me prioritize my reasons for seeing her. If you get a doctor who will work with you, you can make the system work for you. The clerical staff can be disrespectful, impatient, and terse.

Convenient access to competent medical professionals and specialties. I am very satisfied with Kaiser. I want our Kaiser coverage to include vision benefits.

December 31, 2007

I like online access at Kaiser. phone line for appointment services was very impersonal.

December 31, 2007

I like being able to contact doctors by email. The email your doctor function is extremely helpful and convenient. However, good luck seeing specialists on an emergency care basis when you need to- it is hard.

December 31, 2007

kaiser is located 3 blocks from my home. It took too long to schedule and diagnose a problem and the problem got worse. it took several folowup calls to DEMAND earlier appointments. I think they should improve 1. More specialist in perspective areas of surgery. 2. Better communication and ability to analyze second opinions before major surgey. 3. After major surgery, Kaiser releases patients too soon after surgery.
